Impact
Established a reference for evaluating the building as nearby construction progressed.
Challenge
The two-story property required a reference condition before nearby construction and observation during the work.
STRAAM approach
STRAAM established a dynamic baseline and installed continuous monitoring, using five triaxial accelerometers for baseline readings and four for subsequent monitoring.
Result
The initial findings placed the building’s measured behavior within the expected range for its age. They gave the project team a reference for comparison during nearby work.
