Impact
Established a post-earthquake reference for the historic Town Hall before its renovation.
Challenge
Following the Kaikōura earthquake, the historic Town Hall required a dynamic assessment before renovation.
STRAAM approach
STRAAM completed an eight-hour campaign with five triaxial accelerometers sampling at 200 samples per second and assessed coupled directional response.
Result
The work documented how the unoccupied building responded after the earthquake, providing a reference before renovation.
