The office and courthouse portions of the federal building had to be assessed as connected but distinct structural sections.
STRAAM approach
STRAAM measured the building on June 16–17, 2020, using ten triaxial accelerometers and two SKG systems to characterize coupled response.
Result
The work documented how the connected office and courthouse portions responded, giving the engineering team a basis for future evaluation.
