Long Span Bridges
The characteristics of long span bridges often occur at very low frequencies (as little as one cycle every 20 seconds). SG is one of a very small number of organizations in the world that is capable of measuring both response and damping at these very low frequencies. Such measurements are essential when considering the long term stability of large bridges to wind. Aerodynamic instabilities are a problem that may not show up for a considerable time, and a timely intervention when a problem is discovered can save a great deal of money and inconvenience.
