Project Types: Response Analysis and Wind Regime Identification
STRAAM was contracted by Weidlinger Associates, Inc. for this Project to provide a Baseline Dynamic Signature (BDS) and long term Dynamic Monitoring on both the existing and the new tower.
The BDS consisted of establishing the baseline dynamic response of the existing control tower by capturing the frequencies of resonance for principle modes of vibrations, and also to look for any correlated responses with wind data collected from the airport anemometer over a period of one year in order to gather sufficient information for the local wind regime.
