Risk Management

STRAAM Group deals with structural risk. The risk associated with the operation of a structure is the statistical chance that it will not continue to perform its intended function.

The risk of bad performance is assessed by STRAAM Group as needed, by assessing performance and then using that performance to determine the chance of occurrence of an ‘event’ (such as a strong wind or an earthquake) that would cause the structure to fail. The chance of occurrence of that ‘event’ can be assessed and this is converted to a figure for the annual risk of the structure being unable to continue to perform as the original design intended.
