Long Span Bridges

The characteristics of long span bridges often occur at very low frequencies (as little as one cycle every 20 seconds). Such measurements are essential when considering the long term stability of large bridges to wind. Aerodynamic instabilities are a problem that may not show up for a considerable time, and a timely intervention when a problem is discovered can save a great deal of money and inconvenience.
